The exsalt SD7 Wound Dressing incorporates the company’s patented platform coating technology, which utilizes a unique form of silver as the active ingredient, Exciton said.
Exciton president and founder Rod Precht said with the approval from Health Canada and FDA clearance back in 2009, they can finalize their commercialization efforts to sell the exsalt SD7 Wound Dressing throughout North America.
"Health Canada approval is a significant achievement, requiring stringent ISO 13485 medical device manufacturing certification prior to filing, and paves the way for regulatory approval in other countries," Precht said.
