Previously, Brainsway’s TMS systems received CE mark to treat major depression, bipolar disorder and negative symptoms and cognitive impairment in schizophrenic patients, Parkinson’s disease and as an add-on treatment for depression.
The company said any brain-related disorder that is associated with pathological activity of specific brain sites may also be treated by this method.
