The European Union (EU) has granted a CE mark approval to Brainsway's deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) device to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Previously, Brainsway’s TMS systems received CE mark to treat major depression, bipolar disorder and negative symptoms and cognitive impairment in schizophrenic patients, Parkinson’s disease and as an add-on treatment for depression.
The company said any brain-related disorder that is associated with pathological activity of specific brain sites may also be treated by this method.
