Dentsply Implants North America has launched the Atlantis patient-specific abutment solution for the Ankylos Implant System for US and Canadian customers.
Atlantis abutments for Ankylos are designed and fabricated using Atlantis Virtual Abutment Design (VAD) software, a process that combines 3D optical scanning, advanced software and manufacturing methods to deliver patient-specific abutment assortment.
Available for all major implant systems, Atlantis abutments help to expand the possibilities for cement-retained implant restorations, said the company.
Atlantis abutments are available in titanium, gold-shaded titanium and five shades of zirconia, including a translucent white zirconia available for their single-tooth, screw-retained Atlantis Crown Abutment.
The patent specific abutments are already available in more than 50 interfaces, including all major implant systems from Dentsply Implants, Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Zimmer Dental, and Biomet 3i.
Dentsply Implants hold the trademarks for Atlantis and Atlantis VAD.
