Corpak MedSystems has launched second-generation Cortrak 2 Enteral Access System (EAS).

The new system has been redesigned as a sleeker, more portable system which provides enhanced performance related to visual feedback for safe bedside placement of feeding tubes and additional information to facilitate in the confirmation of tube tip location.

Cortrak 2’s All-in-one Monitor comprises an integrated visual display terminal (VDT), touch screen, and embedded computing system.

The Cortrak 2 electromagnetic transmitting stylet and Corflo Feeding Tube together provide accurate relative positional tracking of the tube tip during insertion for real-time confirmation of tip position.

Corpak MedSystems Global Sales and Marketing vice president Richard Eagle said using the CORTRAK 2 EAS can reduce the need for X-ray verification of feeding tube placement.
