Concentric Medical, a provider of minimally invasive endovascular devices, has launched Trevo, which uses Stentriever technology for clot retrieval in ischemic stroke patients.

Concentric Medical said that Trevo was evaluated in a limited number of centers across Europe.

Concentric Medical claims that Trevo is the first and only retriever of its type designed for quick access, rapid clot integration and predictable clot retrieval in ischemic stroke patients.

Concentric Medical president and CEO Maria Sainz said that the data in the previous clot retrieval trials, MERCI and Multi MERCI, have provided sound evidence of the benefits of retrieving clot for stroke patients and the Trevo is offered as a complete system for use with Concentric’s microcatheter, balloon guide catheter and DAC catheter making the stroke retrieval procedure easier and more predictable.
