Cellnovo, a UK-based mobile health company, has received CE mark approval for its diabetes management system.

The diabetes management system is built around the principles of mobile, wireless technology including an insulin patch pump, a wireless, touch screen handset with a built-in blood glucose monitor, and an extendable applications set.

The Cellnovo handset wirelessly transmits and receives real-time data to a portal for patients and caregivers to use.

Kings College London Diabetes clinical lecturer Pratik Choudhary said Cellnovo has created the insulin pump that combines form with function, essential qualities in a device that patients have to interact with 24/7.
