CardioComm Solutions is planning to introduce Global ECG Management Software (GEMS) and reported that the Windows 7 forward-compatible GEMS 4.0 version will be available by the end of Q2 2011.

The new GEMS 4.0 software will encompass CardioComm’s full line of arrhythmia monitoring modules, will have multiple report sending options, and easy-to-use, customizable work flow features.

GEMS 4.0 with multi-language capabilities, will allow CardioComm to access new international markets.

CardioComm said that GEMS 4.0 will be available to users in North America and Europe at that time, with selected additional availability to other countries thereafter.

CardioComm CEO Etienne Grima said that physicians, medical monitoring services and hospitals can easily install GEMS on their updated computers, and track and store comprehensive ECGs and patient information, including enrollments, symptoms, follow-ups and more.

"Additionally, we’ll be distributing the new GEMSTrak Event Loop Recorders that meet the new GEMS standard, and customers with old recorders that are still operational (any brand) may send them in for a rebate on the same number of GEMSTrak ELRs. The GEMSTrak ELRs are FDA, CE and Health Canada approved devices," Grima said.
