Bovie Medical, a manufacturer and marketer of electrosurgical products, has applied for 510(k) clearance from the FDA to market a new high frequency electrosurgical generator specifically designed for the physician office market.

Bovie Medical manufactures a full line of electrosurgical generators for the physician office and markets them through their distribution partners worldwide. The new high frequency electrosurgical generator known as the 1450RF expands the line of Bovie’s current offerings.

Bovie Medical is setting the standard for surgi-center and hospital-based electrosurgical generators and accessories with a range of models: the Aaron 800-EU, the Aaron 900, the Aaron 950, the Aaron 1250, the Aaron 2250, and the Aaron 3250 along with the IDS-200, IDS-300, and ICON Gi.

The feature-packed generators are designed from the ground up to be reliable, and are UL and Canadian Standards compliant. All of these generators are available for private labeling, said the company.

Bovie Medical has expanded its manufacturing capabilities to include a full line of disposable electrosurgical electrodes in blade, ball, needle, loop and laparoscopic form, over the past decade. The reusable ES pencils, with a full compliment of reusable electrodes and bipolar forceps, enhance our ever-expanding line of products.

Bovie Medical also manufactures a line of replaceable battery and tip cauteries, known as Change-A-Tip. Also manufactures a variety of specialty products, such as nerve locators, lighted stylets, and corneal rust ring removers, the bulk of which follow the battery operated, tubular manufacturing process.
