Boulder Diagnostics has entered into a license and collaboration agreement with the Department of Internal Medicine, Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre (RUNMC).

Under the agreement, they together will commercialize the Lyme disease diagnostic test developed at RUNMC.

Boulder said it will finance for further research at the Department of Internal Medicine and RUNMC will be entitled to royalties on future sales of the licensed technology.

The new Lyme disease diagnostic test is used to detect a chronic Lyme infection from a patient blood sample.

Radboud University Nijmegen Medical CentreExperimental Medicine professor Mihai Netea said this assay holds the potential to reduce the frequent misdiagnosis of chronic borrelia infection.
