Berry Plastics Group, a provider of value-added plastic consumer packaging and engineered materials, has launched 3546A single-coated woven tape, designed for use in the manufacture of pulse oximeters and other medical devices.
3546A woven tape features a 25 mil stretchable woven fabric backing, white rubber-based medical-grade adhesive and a specially-formulated rubber adhesive that bonds well without lifting or flagging and removes cleanly without causing skin trauma.
Berry Plastics Group medical tapes sales director George Kontakos said, "A key design feature of 3546A is the easy-release liner that removes quickly for high speed converting operations as well as the woven backing that readily accepts ink for excellent print quality."
In addition, the company has also developed and introduced 3426B Flexible Film Tape and 3426A Transfer Adhesive for use in pulse oximetry and medical device assembly applications.
