Baptist Beaumont hospital in Beaumont, Texas, US, has chosen Viking Systems' 3DHD vision system.
The hospital will equip 3DHD vision system in its two new integrated three dimensional operating rooms.
The 3DHD vision system’s added dimension facilitates laparoscopic surgeons in dissection, suturing and in identifying critical anatomy.
The system also provides surgeons with clear vision combined with depth perception.
Viking Systems president and CEO Jed Kennedy said the company see 3D laparoscopic visualization as falling in line with other areas of the hospital that have already embraced 3D which includes micro surgery, robotic surgery, radiology and open surgical procedures.
