Avinger, a US based developer of catheter-based technologies, has won CE Mark approval for Ocelot catheter.

Ocelot catheter incorporates real-time Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for the treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).

The new tool helps in accessing discrete regions of the peripheral vasculature and also provides OCT visualization for navigation through arteries.

Avinger founder and CEO John Simpson said Ocelot CE Mark is a pivotal step that allows them to immediately help more patients suffering from PAD.
