Ascensia Diabetes Care has entered into a technology partnership with Glooko to deliver diabetes data solutions.
Under the deal, Glooko's diabetes data management platform will be integrated with Ascensia's Contour Next One and Contour Plus One blood glucose monitoring systems.
The integrated solutions will enable diabetes patients and health care professionals to access and analyze accurate blood glucose data at anywhere, including home and office.
The incorporated solutions will also allow to access blood glucose data by Glooko's mobile app and clinic data upload products directly from the Contour Next One and Contour Plus One meters through Bluetooth connectivity, as well as through an automatic feed via the Contour Cloud.
Diabetes patients can view their data both in Glooko's mobile and web apps, in addition to the Contour Diabetes app from Ascensia.
The Contour Next One system, which secured 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is expected to be available to the customers in the coming months.
