Anulex Technologies, a medical device manufacturer focusing on spinal disc preservation and anular repair products, has made Xclose Plus Tissue Repair System available at the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves meeting in Orlando, Florida.

Anulex Technologies said that the Xclose Plus Tissue Repair System incorporates a number of advances that simplify implantation of the device, enhances the mechanical closure of the tissue and allows the surgeon to implant in more challenging tissue.

The advances were accomplished with the development of Invisiloc Technology, a locking technology to reduce the total mass of the construct while enabling smooth tensioning of the system. Additionally, the combination of materials provides a more durable implant.

Rich Lunsford, president and chief executive officer of Anulex, said: “The addition of Xclose Plus will provide for a significant improvement in the way our customers treat their patients. Surgeons will be able to address a greater array of patients and tissue quality situations with the new system. Additionally, we are excited that an increasing number of surgeons are adopting preservation and anular repair techniques into their discectomy procedures.”
