Ansell has launched a new surgical mask with a respirator to protect healthcare workers and patients from the risk of healthcare associated infections (HAI).
The lighter GAMMEX N95 Respirator and Surgical Mask features a patented breathable face seal which allows air to circulate through the top, bottom and sides of the respirator, ensuring maximum breathability.
Using a hybrid technology, the surgical mask removes many airborne particles contained in surgical smoke and filter out 99.9% of airborne viruses and bacterial microorganisms.
The mask, with high filtration capability and TYPE II fluid resistance, can be used in personal protection for infection control, isolation, ICU, ER, OR and many areas subjected to airborne pathogens and harmful particles.
