Amedica has introduced Procet Facet Allograft Implant system to treat patients suffering from low back pain caused by spinal stenosis.
The Procet system comprises a dual-hemispherical shape that helps to limit motion, while providing distraction.
The system is also designed to remain stable in the joint to increase the potential for fusion.
Amedica president and chief executive officer Eric Olson said this launch is also consistent with the company’s strategy to increase sales of proprietary, IP-backed products, which should drive improved gross margins and profitability.
Amedica Facet Fixation System portfolio includes the Javelin MIS Facet Screw System and FacetGun Max System.
