Amcor displays new Buried Nylon films for medical device packaging

Amcor, a provider of medical device packaging solutions, has displayed its Buried Nylon (BNE) films.

BNE films provides increased strength of protection to needles, syringes and vascular access devices.

BNE films’ minimum reversion and thermoforming characteristics facilitate effective product loading which is required for packaging of catheters.

According to Packaging Europe, Amcor Medical Europe Coextruded Films product manager Neil Hawkesford said with a wide choice of film gauges ranging from 50 to 200 microns, BNE films are suitable for ethylene oxide sterilisation and can be used for a range of applications including the packaging of larger dressings and drapes.

"The material has a wide processing window to allow for efficient packaging lines, maintaining forming performance at higher speeds," Hawkesford said.
