ADA Medikal has entered into an agreement to distribute BSD Medical's MicroThermX Microwave Ablation line of products in the Turkish market.
The mobile MicroThermX system includes a microwave generator, single-patient-use disposable antennas and a thermistor-based temperature monitoring system.
By utilizing the phased array technology, the equipment provides uniform zones of ablation during a single procedure.
BSD said it has obtained the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval for use of the product in ablation of soft tissues.
The company has also gained marketing rights to MicroThermX system in Europe, following the CE mark approval.
