The new AB SCIEX API 3200MD and 3200MD QTRAP LC/MS/MS systems will help European hospitals and clinical diagnostic laboratories to improve the quality of results in clinical analysis and minimise costs.

AB SCIEX president Rainer Blair said, "The use of LC/MS/MS technology for clinical diagnostics has already been proven to deliver faster, more accurate results at lower cost compared to existing technologies."

The proposed use of 3200MD series devices is to identify inorganic or organic compounds in human specimens for clinical use, according to the company.

The products API 3200MD and 3200MD QTRAP LC/MS/MS systems are expected to ship in Europe by mid-June.
