Plastics Color Corporation announces new plant manager

Plastics Color Corporation is pleased to announce the immediate promotion of Merdis Totten to plant manager of its North Carolina facility. This promotion reflects Plastics Color’s commitment to build and maintain the best leaders, who can help the company continue to grow while remaining an industry leader of color, compounds and additives.

Totten has been with Plastics Color since 2009, previously serving as a manager in the logistics and productions departments at the North Carolina plant. In his previous roles, Totten also led the safety training for the NC facility for new hires, and seamlessly transitioned to serve as interim plant manager when the position was offered to him back in February.

"Since filling the plant manager position in the interim role, Merdis has done an excellent job of keeping the facility operating without interruption," said Joseph M Byrne, Plastics Color president. "We truly appreciate Merdis’ contributions and look forward to seeing Merdis continuing to grow the North Carolina facility!"

The North Carolina research and development facility was recently opened in 2010. Since this time the facility has served as a hub for new product development and testing, services Plastics Color had not offered previously. The lab is home to state-of-the-art analysis and testing equipment, making it one of the plastic industry’s premier facilities.
