Premier Purchasing Partners, a healthcare purchasing network, has awarded a contract for patient cleansing and skin care products to the advanced wound management division of Smith & Nephew, a subsidiary of Smith & Nephew plc.
The companies said that this is the second consecutive contract between Premier Purchasing Partners and Smith & Nephew for Skin Care. The current contract covers the Secura, Remove, Unisolve, Unicare, Skin Prep and NO Sting Skin Prep products.
In addition to Skin Care, Smith & Nephew has contracts with Premier Purchasing Partners for its NPWT, Advanced Wound Care, and Silver products.
Tom Dugan, president of Smith & Nephew Advanced Wound Management in North America, said: “This skin care contract, along with the other contracts we hold with Premier, provide us greater opportunity to help Premier members offer an integrated wound management solution, that can improve clinical outcomes and help reduce system wide risk associated with facility acquired wounds.
