Heart Force Medical has patents pending for the digital Ballistocardiograph (dBG). The dBG 300, which is already approved in Canada and the US, captures the movement of the heart during each cardiac cycle (heart beat).
The Heart Force dBG 300 device is a non-invasive, standalone, portable unit and contains sophisticated digital sensors and proprietary software.
Geoff Houlton, CEO of Heart Force Medical, said: “Dave has been working in the commercialization of medical devices in Canada for most of his working life. He has worked for a broad spectrum of companies from major corporations like Medtronic to start-up companies like Pyng Medical and Urodynamix. The experience he has gleaned will serve Heart Force Medical well as we continue the transition from a development company to one that is commercially focused.”
MR Bonar said: “Faced with a rapidly growing global incidence of cardiovascular diseases, clinicians and healthcare systems worldwide are seeking more accessible and cost effective means of diagnosing and managing affected patients. With their unique technology, Heart Force is poised to assist clinicians in the assessment and management of a variety of cardiovascular conditions.”
