Healthmed Services, a software development company, has introduced a new software technology Virtual Vantage to modernise remote patient access through the use of handheld devices.

Healthmed said that Virtual Vantage allows an interface between handheld computers, such as the iPad and stationary computers, and has the capacity to create access the health industry seeks

Healthmed believes that the Virtual Vantage software, along with Apple’s new handheld device, the iPad, offers the modernisation the healthcare industry needs to transform.

The company anticipates that the Virtual Vantage software will create opportunities for hospitals, doctors’ offices and staff to work more resourcefully and efficiently.

Healthmed director John Popovic said that the new product would allow records to be accessed rapidly thus improving the quality of patient care.

Healthmed is also expected to offer server/network solutions to utilise the remote access software and technical support.
