“Carestream Health’s CR and DR systems offer productivity-enhancing features that will speed our workflow and capture the wide range of imaging exams required by our busy multi-physician practice. These platforms are also renowned for their ease of use, which should help our technologists adjust quickly to a digital environment,” said Philip Frndak, managing director, president, Orthopedic Associates. The practice has five physicians and five physician assistants, and performs up to 20,000 medical imaging exams a year.

Frndak said the practice selected the versatile floor-mounted DR 3500 system because its fully motorized movements deliver excellent productivity for a wide range of exams. The arm maintains constant alignment between the x-ray tube and the Bucky for rapid patient positioning.

The compact, single-cassette CR system will be equipped with long-length imaging software to deliver 35 x 84 cm images for long-bone, spine and other applications. Fully automated stitching software saves time by eliminating the need to orient, order, and align images.
